Biden's $1.75trillion Build Back Better plan would give the US the highest average top personal income tax in the developed world, new research states
If President Biden's Build Back Better agenda passes the Senate in its current form, the US would have the highest top income tax in the developed world. The average top tax rate would reach 57.4 percent, and the top rate would breach 50 percent in all 50 states. The top marginal tax rate at the federal level would be 51.4 percent. Most states also deduct an income tax, the average being 6.0 percent, which would bring the top rate to 57.4 percent. The top marginal tax rate on income at the federal level is currently 37 percent, scheduled to raise to 39.6 percent in 2026. The marginal rate only applies to those making above the top threshold of half a million dollars per year.

Unvaccinated Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers APOLOGIZES for saying he was 'immunized' but stands by decision not to get shot
Unvaccinated Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is apologizing for saying he was 'immunized' against COVID-19 in August, but stands by his decision to refuse the injection. 'I made some comments that people might have felt were misleading,' Rodgers said during Tuesday's interview on Pat McAfee's sports radio show. 'To anybody who felt misled by those comments, I take full responsibility.' Speaking via satellite from his Wisconsin home, where the COVID-infected Rodgers has been quarantining since testing positive last week, the reigning NFL Most Valuable player addressed criticism that he misled the public when he was asked about his vaccination status at training camp. At the time, Rodgers described himself as 'immunized,' but failed to explain that he hadn't received the vaccine and was simply referring to a treatment he received from doctors. Rodgers's vaccination status was made plain last week when it was revealed he tested positive for coronavirus and would be away from the Packers for 10 days - the minimum amount of time an unvaccinated player is asked to quarantine, per league rules. The NFL permits vaccinated players who are asymptomatic to return to action if they've tested negative twice over a 24-hour time period. But Rodgers isn't apologizing for his refusal to get vaccinated, nor is he eager to become a poster boy for anti-vaxxers or any group for that matter. 'I'm an athlete, I'm not an activist.'

Jurors at Kyle Rittenhouse's trial were shown gruesome images of the wounded bodies of the two men he shot dead the night of August 25, 2020. Images of Anthony Huber were the first to be shown on the sixth day of the trial. Huber was killed by a single shot to the chest, the court heard today from forensic pathologist Dr. Doug Kelly. Dr. Kelly told how the bullet, shot at close range, had torn through both of his lungs before causing devastating damage to his heart. Next the state turned their attention to Joseph Rosenbaum - shot four times by Rittenhouse. The jury was shown the entrance wound to his right groin, surrounded by stippling and murky with blood. Perhaps most disturbing was the picture of Rosenbaum's head and back with swirls of purple bruising, blood and stippling around the fatal wound. Kyle Rittenhouse is accused of gunning down three people with a military-style semi-automatic rifle last year, killing two and injuring one.

Brandeberry also told the jury McMichael changed his story about why he suspected the 25-year-old black man running in his neighborhood was a criminal.
